🎭 February at the Studio: Performances, Opportunities & Encouragement

February is full of connection, creativity, and exciting opportunities for our studio family! From student performance events to major auditions and inspiring words of encouragement, here’s what’s happening this month.

🌟 Spring Inner Circles Are Coming!

Our Spring Inner Circles are special students-only performance events designed to help performers share what they’re working on, build confidence, and support one another in a relaxed, encouraging setting. These gatherings also include snacks and social time, making them a wonderful mix of performance and community.

Inner Circles will be held at the home studio in Centerville, with sessions divided by age group—from elementary students all the way through adults and young adults. These events are always a highlight of the season and a great way for students to grow in a supportive environment.

🎤 Upcoming Auditions

There are several exciting audition opportunities this month at theatres across the region, including musicals, classic plays, and youth productions. Whether students are looking to gain experience or take on a new challenge, February offers a variety of chances to step into the audition room and shine.

🎭 February Shows Featuring Our Studio Family

Our students and teachers continue to light up local stages! This month includes university productions, community theatre performances, and a major Town Hall Theatre production featuring many of our students and staff members. It’s a fantastic time to support live theatre while cheering on familiar faces.

🎶 More Performance Events

In addition to theatre, students are also participating in special music events, including adjudicated performances. These experiences are invaluable for building skills, confidence, and performance readiness.

We’re incredibly proud of everyone who has recently been cast, received callbacks, or completed strong auditions. Your hard work and preparation are paying off, and we’re cheering you on as you head into upcoming performances and opportunities.

👋 Welcome New Students

January brought a large group of new students to the studio, and we are so excited to have each of them join our growing musical community. We’re grateful for the families who continue to share the joy of music and theatre with others.

Families can find lesson schedules and billing information anytime through the Student and Parent Portal on our website. Staying up to date helps everything run smoothly during this busy performance season.

🎶 Studio News: Welcoming New Teachers

We’re excited to officially welcome Grayson Reynolds to our team as both an admin and voice teacher. A longtime studio student, Grayson brings performance experience, musicianship, and a heart for learning as he continues his studies and steps into teaching.

We’re also thrilled to welcome Courtney Collinsworth as a new acting teacher. With years of stage experience and a passion for teaching young performers, Courtney brings warmth, knowledge, and enthusiasm to our acting program.

💛 Becky's Blog: The Power of Patience

This month’s encouragement focuses on a quality every performer must develop—patience. Growth in the arts takes time, and waiting for opportunities can be challenging. But patience, like music, is something we practice. It helps us handle disappointment, stay hopeful, and trust that progress is happening even when results aren’t immediate.

As we continue learning, auditioning, and performing, music can be both our comfort and our motivation while we wait for the next step in our journey.
